PRODUCT DETAILS
Features:
W6Mo5Cr4V2 steel is the representative steel number of tungsten and molybdenum series general high-speed steel. The steel has the advantages of fine and uniform carbide, high toughness and good thermoplasticity. Its outstanding feature is a high hardness, wear resistance and hot hard (also known as red hard), when the cutting tool temperature as high as 500~600 degrees Celsius, the hardness is still not significantly reduced, can be cut at a higher speed than low alloy cutting tool steel, mainly used for manufacturing cutting speed, heavy load, high working temperature of various cutting tools.
Purpose:
W6Mo5Cr4V2 high speed steel is used in the manufacture of turning tools, milling cutters, hobs, planing knives, broach, drill, tap and other types of general tools, but also used in the manufacture of cold and hot deformation molds requiring high wear resistance, high temperature springs, high temperature bearings, etc., can also make large and thermoplastic forming tools. Because W6Mo5Cr4V2 steel has high strength and good wear resistance, it can also make wear-resistant parts under high load, such as cold extrusion dies, etc., but at this time, the quenching temperature must be properly reduced to meet the requirements of strength and toughness. W6Mo5Cr4V2 high speed steel is easy to oxidize and decarburize, and should be paid attention to during hot processing and heat treatment.
Delivery hardness:
HBW less than or equal to (other processing methods :262, annealing :255) Steel hardness and sample tempering hardness :262HRC
Delivery status:
Hot-rolled, forged, cold-drawn steel rods are delivered in annealed condition, hot-rolled, forged steel rods are delivered after annealing + other processing methods (peeling, light drawing, grinding or polishing, etc.).
Supply Type Size Range (mm) Forged steel φ60-250 Hot rolled steel φ8-70 hot rolled wire p8-16 Cold drawn steel 1.0-15.
Heat treatment process
Quenching in the protective gas, at 450~500 degrees and 850~900 degrees 2 steps preheating, in the required hardness of the appropriate temperature austenization, quenching temperature :(salt bath furnace 1210~1230, box furnace 1210~1230); Quenching: oil; Tempering temperature 540~560 degrees Celsius; HRC(box furnace 62, salt bath furnace 63). It is recommended to temper at 560 degrees twice, each time there should be at least 1 hour of heat preservation time. The stress is removed between 600 degrees and 700 degrees for about 2 hours, and then gently cooled to 500 degrees of soft annealing in a protective gas, held at a temperature of 850 to 900 degrees for 3 hours, and then gently cooled 10 degrees to 700 degrees per hour, followed by air cooling. Hardness after annealing :HBS<265
Alloy plate cutting is an important part of the processing, the common cutting methods are mechanical cutting, plasma cutting and laser cutting. Drilling is an essential process in alloy plate processing, through drilling can achieve a variety of shapes of holes and threads processing. Welding is a common way in alloy plate processing, including manual arc welding, gas shielded welding, laser welding and other methods. The surface treatment of alloy plate includes deburring, polishing, spraying and other methods. Each process has its own specific technical points and precautions, which need to be selected and operated according to specific requirements.
In order to ensure product quality, we will arrange professional personnel to check product quality, packaging, weight, hardness, etc., according to customer requirements of product specifications, looking for high-quality and cheap cooperative factories in China, to provide customers with one-stop procurement services and quality assurance.
